Obsidian is a UAE-born abaya house built on a single belief: that modest dressing should carry as much presence as the woman wearing it. Like the stone we’re named for — rare, deep, and formed under pressure — every piece we create is shaped with intention. Restrained. Deliberate. Unmistakably refined.
Our Story
The abaya is more than a garment in this part of the world. It’s heritage, identity, and a quiet kind of confidence — passed from one generation of women to the next. Obsidian was founded to honour that legacy while speaking to the woman wearing it today: a woman who moves between boardrooms and family majlises, who travels often, and who wants her wardrobe to feel as considered as her life.
What We Make
We specialise in abayas, and only abayas. Every piece is designed in-house in the UAE and crafted from premium fabrics chosen for the way they fall, breathe, and last through wear. Our silhouettes are clean. Our details are restrained. Nothing is added unless it earns its place.
We release in small, considered collections rather than constant drops — because we’d rather you own a few pieces you reach for again and again than a closet of compromises.
